Research
A description of our most current research that cuts across biophysics, chemistry, and more.
Our Work
The primary pursuit of the Cavendish Laboratory under my direction is to investigate the innermost structure of the atom. Through the bombardment of matter with alpha particles and other high-velocity projectiles, we seek to uncover the fundamental laws that govern the subatomic world.
Principal Lines of Inquiry
Our investigations are focused on three core areas: The Structure of the Atomic Nucleus, Artificial Transmutation of the Elements, and the nature of Radioactivity. These experimental pursuits form the foundation of the new nuclear physics.
